About

Hi there. Rocketman19.com is a blog with no purpose. OK maybe it has a purpose, but definitely not a defined one. I post things I find interesting, things I want to say, basically anything that entertains me and I feel like sharing. Over to the right, you’ll find other things that I post elsewhere, like my Tumblr blog, my Del.icio.us links, my Coastr beer wall, and my Google Reader shared items.

If you’d like to contact me, you can do so here.

This site is optimized for 1024×768 resolutions or higher. If you’re not running that high, well you need to upgrade.

As for me, well… my site name has little to do with Elton John and his song (although I do enjoy that little ditty) and more to do with Paul Ysebaert, the hockey player who was nick-named Rocketman by Mickey Redmond, and the way he scored goals. I had a playing style that was similar, along with sharing the same name (just the first name).

I’m a geek, both professionally and as a hobby. I get paid well to be a geek so I’m usually pretty proud of that fact. I’m a 2001 graduate of the Michigan State University College of Engineering with a BS in Computer Science and a cognate in Business Administration.
